Rainbow Detox Salad


I love salads. But when it’s 15 degrees outside, the last thing I want to eat is a bowl of cucumbers and bibb lettuce.


This salad is a delicious combination of warming veggies and ingredients, both high in fiber and protein! For practical purposes, the ingredients are measured. But when you’re in a rush, this recipe works just as well on the fly…adding as much or as little of each ingredient as you’d like!

Detox Rainbow Salad

1 cup broccoli florets

½ cup shredded red cabbage

½-1 avocado

1tbsp. slivered almonds

1 pinch chia seeds

¼ cup red onion (optional)

1 sprinkle yellow raisins (optional)



juice from ½ lemon

2 tbsb. low fat plain yogurt

1 tsp. evoo

1 dash black pepper




  • Either blend dressing ingredients in a food processor or combine ingredients in a small dish and stir well. Set aside.


  • Combine salad ingredients in a bowl


  • Stir dressing and salad together and enjoy!
